Planning has always been one of my passions. When I was a child, growing up in Clarksville, TN, I would constantly plan things, such as bake sales, backyard carnivals, and clubs, though they would sometimes fall through. (It’s hard to find the money for a carnival when you’re eight!) It became obvious to me that I much preferred to be behind the scenes planning than in the spotlight.
I went to college at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and received a Bachelor of Science in computer science. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for wedding planning, though I didn’t know what to do with it. I assisted several of my friends with their weddings and planned one of my own (that fell through), but it seemed it was never enough.
I moved to Nashville in July 2006 and began researching local wedding vendors in my spare time. While I loved my 9-5 job, I still felt like something was missing. Ideas for different wedding scenarios, for many different budgets and sizes, kept coming to me, and I felt I needed an outlet for them all. So, I decided to bite the bullet and do what everyone for years had been telling me I should be doing. In addition, I recently became engaged, so I know exactly what you are going through, every step of the way!
